For many years Rob has toyed with the idea of Corporate leadership and owning his own business. Originally from Sydney, then Dubbo for his high school days and meet his wife and co-founder Tenelle. They set out into the world of development bouncing from Sydney, Dubbo, and Gold Coast before returning home to a more family focused lifestyle.

After many false starts with various locations the pair opened The Establishment Bar Dubbo, where you will find Tenelle on most evenings, up a little alley way next to the Old Dubbo Gaol. It was and still is Dubbo’s First Speakeasy and has been a breath of fresh air to country NSW.

Through covid and beyond Rob found his calling, among many friends in the Distilling Industry, after creating the Dubbo Winter Whisky Festival, completing some formal training and then experiencing Distilling first hand from many other Distillers, Rob and Tenelle launched their first Gin with the assistance of Granddad Jacks on the Gold Coast. From there the journey was born and we now bring you Macquarie Distilling Co.
